About Teach A Teen To Fish
Mentoring Tulsa Teens in Faith and Fishing
Inspired by God’s call, we guide teens in Tulsa and Bixby to grow in Christian faith and learn the art of fishing, becoming fishers of men for a lifetime.
Our Story
Teach A Teen To Fish began with a divine calling. Through the life-changing Band of Brothers men’s ministry, our founder experienced a transformation, shedding anger and embracing the call to make disciples. During prayer, God placed a vision on his heart to mentor teens through fishing—a bridge to faith and purpose.
Working at OSIEL, Bixby’s premier homeschool co-op, our founder saw a perfect fit to serve local teens. Rooted in Matthew 4:18-20, we’re building a ministry that combines practical skills with the Gospel, inspiring youth to live as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our Mission
We teach Tulsa and Bixby teens to fish—not just for sport or sustenance, but as a way to learn life skills and grow in faith. Drawing from the adage, “Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime,” we equip teens with fishing techniques, water safety, CPR, and biblical principles to become fishers of men.
Through fishing trips, tournaments, and community service, we foster discipleship and service, creating a unique space where teens encounter God’s love in nature and community.
